The Moved Network Chronicle: From Concept to Scale

With a firm belief in the power of vision, determination, and technological innovation, Digital Consensus Fund proudly announces its investment in Moved Network. Innovation is the currency of start-up success, and newcomer companies like Moved Network bring a lot of opportunities and promises.

Building the Foundation… and then Scaling Up

Moved leverages the strengths of Ethereum’s Layer 2 solutions, Aptos’ high transaction processing capabilities, and Sui’s advanced consensus mechanisms. Even more, it integrates parallelized ZK proving architecture, optimized to execute Move bytecode efficiently. It leverages advanced cryptography and execution models to achieve unmatched scalability. Processing transactions off-chain in parallel and generating compact ZK proofs allows Moved to inherit Ethereum’s security and achieve much higher throughput than on-chain transactions. Sui’s object-centric storage model ensures assets cannot be duplicated or destroyed accidentally, further strengthening security.

Looking now at some of its competitors, Movement relies on Avalanche which, while scalable, does not match Aptos’ TPS. Lumio, focusing on Aptos, benefits similarly but lacks the additional integration that Moved offers. Sui’s Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) mechanism further enhances scalability by enabling efficient transaction validation with a smaller number of validators, ensuring high throughput and low latency.

In Q1 2024, Moved Network pivoted to a Move rollup, to provide a tangible proof of its scalability and performance. They secured four letters of intent (LOIs) with a total value locked (TVL) of $200 million. Eventually, they built a proof of concept, demonstrating their innovative approach.

So, what’s next? For the rest of 2024, Moved Network plans to finalize the ZK Move Virtual Machine (VM). They will set up the rollup on Ethereum and manage the ecosystem. Establishing the $MOVED token structure is a priority. They also plan to launch an incentivized Testnet to engage the community. In 2025, Moved Network will launch the $MOVED token. At the same time, they seek to form strategic partnerships and will launch the Mainnet. The future looks promising.

Solving Critical Blockchain Issues with Fast and Scalable ZK Layer-2 Move Rollup

As with any business, we have to look at status quo and issue that the start-up seeks to answer to assess its feasibility and possible value. Especially when these issues are not just minor hurdles, they have a far-reaching, ripple impact across the entire blockchain ecosystem.

Ethereum’s well-established smart contract capabilities are complemented by Aptos’ Block-STM technology, which enhances application development efficiency and safety (Unlocks Insights). Sui’s Narwhal and Bullshark modules contribute to its scalability by enabling parallel transaction processing and ensuring data availability (coin bureau).

Liquidity on Move blockchains is dismally low, sitting at a measly 0.5% of web3—a drop in the ocean that’s hardly making a splash. EVM and Solidity, despite their widespread use, are plagued by security issues. Compounding these issues, Ethereum, which controls about 60% of the total value locked (TVL) in the industry, is struggling with scalability.

Move and other alternatives do not yet offer the same level of comprehensive security integration. Movement and Lumio, both using Aptos, share some security benefits but do not integrate the additional security layers provided by Ethereum and Sui.
So, what’s the solution? Moved Network’s fast and scalable ZK layer-2 Move rollup combines Ethereum’s vast ecosystem with the security advantages of the Move language. Bypassing the security flaws of EVM and Solidity and overcoming the liquidity deficiency of Move blockchains, Moved Network can tap into Ethereum’s substantial liquidity. The final outcome is an infrastructure that is more scalable and secure, ready to improve resilience and adoption all throughout the blockchain space.

Innovative Tech Stack – Moved Network’s Capabilities

So far, Moved Network has made some savvy decisions with its technology stack, including the integration of Polygon’s Miden technology, optimized for zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs. Sui’s innovative features like zkLogin facilitate seamless interaction with various Web3 applications, improving at a higher level its interoperability. Both privacy and scalability are boosted, allowing transactions to be private and secure without compromising speed. High throughput and low latency are major pluses here.

Transactions settle on Ethereum as a rollup – a smart move that takes advantage of Ethereum’s established security and decentralized network. This rollup architecture increases scalability by handling most transaction processing off the main Ethereum chain. The modular design of Moved Network allows for easy updates and adaptability to new technologies. Sui’s Narwhal and Bullshark modules contribute to its scalability by enabling parallel transaction processing and ensuring data availability. Movement, relying on Avax, and Lumio, solely on Aptos, do not offer such an integrated suite of technological solutions.

The rollup architecture is modular—each part can be independently built or plugged in as needed. Highly efficient and scalable, supported by parallel execution. Costs are kept low due to offline processing and batched transactions. It’s a cost-effective solution that doesn’t skimp on performance. Since it supports parallel execution, Moved Network guarantees higher throughput and efficiency. This is a step ahead of Movement and other competitors, which don’t offer parallel execution and could face bottlenecks. LUMIO does support parallel execution, but without the same robust ecosystem backing.

As it taps into Ethereum’s vast liquidity pools, Moved Network offers users better trading and investment opportunities. And it’s not just users who benefit. Developers get access to familiar tools from both Move and Ethereum, making it easier to build and innovate on the network. Quite ingenuous, as the integration widens the user base and boosts overall functionality.

Becoming a Critical Player in a Thriving Ecosystem

Early adoption is a key priority for Moved Network, and it’s off to a strong start. The network taps into an already vibrant community by bringing in projects from existing Move chains. Currently, there are around 300 projects with 750 active developers, not to mention a robust user base of 3 million monthly active users. This solid foundation gives Moved Network a great springboard for growth and innovation.

So, the potential of Moved Network isn’t just measured in technological breakthroughs—it’s also reflected in its ability to empower developers and engage communities. Partnering with projects in the Aggregation Layer (AggLayer) are set to bring significant benefits and help strengthen the ecosystem. Because of the unified and shared security responsibility, every network user benefits from a strong and safe environment.

With a massive $1.6 billion investment flowing into the Move ecosystem, the potential for expansion is huge. Over 300 projects are already thriving, especially in the DeFi space. These partnerships not only boost liquidity and utility but also add credibility and appeal to the network.

The Powerhouse Team Behind Moved Network

Moved Network’s team is packed with expertise and know-how that’s crucial for driving its success. Leading the way is CEO Bulent Tastan, who holds a PhD and has 15 years of experience as a software engineer. Bulent’s expertise in the Move language and his background at tech giants like META, Amazon, and Microsoft make him a perfect fit for steering Moved Network towards innovation and growth.

Strategic insights from business development at Binance and partnerships at ZK Accelerator further strengthen the team. Even more, the team includes specialists who excel in blockchain technology, design, and audio engineering, known for their proficiency with tools like Figma. They’ve got the right mix to make big things happen.

Bottom Line

After uniting the greatest features of Ethereum, Aptos, and Sui, Moved outperforms its rivals and produces a platform that excels in scalability, security, interoperability, and technical innovation. Due to its exhaustive strategy, which tackles the main issues with other blockchains, it is a viable and adaptable option for developers and companies. With scalability, security, and innovation on its side, Moved is so much more than a good investment: it can very well become the new standard of the blockchain industry.
